This top Y strap can be added on to the top of any of our backpacks. Our top straps are fully removable so you can choose which strap you want to use for a specific trip. 
 
The Y strap option is great for extra gear storage on the top of your pack. This will hold a bear canister reasonably well when the canister is empty. Get the Y strap if you are looking to strap things like a sleeping pad, climbing rope, or a jacket to the top of your pack. Or use the single top strap if you are just looking to add some additional compression to the top portion of your pack.
